Understanding Natural Tarnishing

1. Silver + Sulfur = Natural Patina

Pure silver reacts with sulfur, a common element in air and botanicals. This reaction creates a slight tarnish over time, ranging from a subtle "yellowish hue" to a "dark blue/black patina". This is 100% normal and occurs with all high-quality silver products (e.g., jewelry, cutlery).

2. No Impact on Performance

Rest assured: Tarnishing "does not affect functionality, safety, or flavor". Your heater and/or bowl will continue to perform flawlessly, just as intended.

3. Not Titanium Anodizing

Unlike titanium anodizing (which requires extreme heat to alter colors), our heater/bowl operates at temperatures too low to affect the titanium’s base material. Any color changes are "solely due to silver’s natural reaction", not the titanium itself.

360XLS Usage Guide (video guide link):

Fit screen onto stem at your desired depth. Then slide 360XLS housing over Metal or Glass stem.

Low Temp Range: 385F to 410F, recommended heatsoak time 60-90 seconds

Medium Temp Range: 410F to 440F, recommended heatsoak time 30-60 seconds

High Temp Range: 440F to 465F, recommended heatsoak time 15-30 seconds

Note that you should pull residual heat from the stem with your last inhale after lifting the housing, as this is a common step for hybrid-leaning devices. Additionally, it's highly recommended to use the 360XLS with a carbed passthrough or ash catcher, so that you're able to clear the hit without lifting the housing.
